MEETING MINUTES

Ron Nicasio, club president, presided over meeting.

1. MEMBERSHIP – Nothing new on membership.
2. UPCOMING EVENTS
   1. The June meeting will be at the ACES ballgame on June 22^nd.  Cheri Huntoon is coordinating details.  Game starts at 7:05pm.  Cheri will be outside gate with tickets starting at 5:30 pm. Deadline for anyone who wants to attend must have their money to Cheri no later than June 5th.   Checks should be made payable to Sierra chapter of BMWCCA. Guests are welcome to join us at the game. If you are bringing guests please let Cheri know.
   2. Our annual Virginia City drive will be on June 24^th with John English as coordinator.
   3. De Sharp reminded members that annual wine tour to Amador County will be October 14-15 and 15 rooms have been blocked at the Shenandoah Inn. Members planning to go should call the Inn and make their reservations telling them they are with the club.
3. BMW BRIEFS
   1. In lieu of normal briefs members at the meeting were given the opportunity to check out the new 5 series sedan in the dealership show room. When “spec’d” out car will cost about $75K.  A video was shown delineating differences between the 6^th and 7^th generation 5 series.

   2. Ron Nicasio also showed a news clip reporting numerous BMWs have mysteriously caught on fire while parked after having been driven earlier. There was no mention of any car catching on fire while being driven.
4. BMW TRIVIA
   1. Question: What makes are include in the BMW Group?  Answer:  BMW, Mini, and Rolls Royce.
   2. Question: How many different models will the BMW Group produce in 2018?  Answer:  40
5. DINNER – Dinner after the meeting was at Skipolini’s Pizza restaurant on south Virginia street with more than 25 attending.
