Itinerary

Saturday Itinerary with approximate departure/arrival times

Meet at Sierra Summit Parking lot behind Tilly’s (South end of parking lot in front of Century Theater) 8:00 am 8:25 am
Douglas High School Parking Lot in Minden to pick up additional members 9:00 am 9:10 am
Rt. 88 Rest Stop (the rest stop on the right just passed Carson Pass Summit – about 1.5 hours from Reno; 20 minute stop). From here will proceed on Rt. 88 to turn off at Mormon Emigrant Trail to our next stop at Miraflores Winery 10:00 am 10:20 am
Miraflores Winery – Private Wine tasting Club sponsored – (30 minute stop) 11:15 am 11:45 pm
Sierra Vista Winery lunch stop. Will stop @ Holiday Quality Natural FoodStore to pick up pre-ordered lunch. Lunch stop 1.5 hrs. including wine tasting. 12:30 pm 2:00 pm
Cooper Vineyards – Wine tasting in tasting room 30 Minutes 2:30 pm 3:00 pm
Karmere Winery – Wine tasting at tasting room – (30 minute stop) 3:15 pm 3:45 pm
Jeff Runquist Winery (on Shenandoah Valley Road) (Last stop of day. Club sponsored private wine tasting- closing time 5 PM) 4:00 pm 5:00 pm
Shenandoah Inn (follow E16 Mount Aukum to Shenandoah Valley Rd; turn right on Old Sacramento Rd.; left on Highway 49; Shenandoah Inn on left. Look for Shell Station and turn left) Appx 5:15 pm  
Pre-dinner happy hour at poolside – Dinner at Colina De Oro Restaurant (walk) 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

Dead Fly Dinner – Breakfast Options after breakfast:

  1. Helwig Winery (opens at 10:00am)

  2. Amador Flower Farm (opens at 10:am)

  3. Convergence Winery –opens at 10AM (approx. 20-25 minutes from Dead Fly Diner)

Winery Opens at 11:00 am

   

If you plan to return via Highway 50, check out Sobon (on Shenandoah Valley Road). If you proceed towards Placerville to connect with Highway 50, you can check out Narrow Gate Winery, or in the Placerville area, Jodar and Boeger (good lunch stop — buy deli food and picnic on Boeger grounds)

If you want to return via 88 you can check out Iverson, Windwalker, Perry Creek or Robert Mitchell. Return to Highway 88 via Omo Ranch Rd. or take CA E16 (Mt. Aukum Rd,) turn right on Sly Park Rd. (at the T intersection) and follow it to Highway 50 at Pollock Pines. (See Map of El Dorado Wine Country for directions)
