Itinerary

Saturday Itinerary with approximate departure/arrival times Arrive Leave
Meet at Sierra Summit Parking Lot behind Tilly’s (S end of parking lot in front of Century Theater; check-in, sign release, and ready to leave not later 8:30am). 8:00am 8:30am
We will proceed to the Rt. 88 via Jack Valley Road arrive at Rt. 88 9:25 9:25
Rt. 88 Rest Stop (the rest stop on the right just passed Carson Pass Summit – about 1 hr and 20 minutes from Reno; 20 minute stop). From here will proceed on Rt. 88 to turn off at Ridge Road to the lunch stop at Avio Vineyards and Winery 9:50 10:10
Avio Vineyards and Winery, 14520 Ridge Road, Sutter Creek: Tour and catered lunch– $14/ per person 11:30 1:00pm
Convergence Vineyard, 14650 Highway 124 – tasting of award winning wine 1:20 2:00
Borjon Winery, 11270 Shenandoah Road 2:20 3:00
Karmere Vineyards and Winery, 11970 Shenandoah Road 3:05 3:50
Jeff Runquist Wines,10776 Shenandoah Road; private tasting (paid by club) tour 4:00 5:00
Shenandoah Inn go back to Plymouth turn left on Hwy 49, Shenandoah Inn will be on the left; look for Shell Station before the driveway. Appx 5:15  
Pre-dinner happy hour at poolside  6:00 7:00pm
Dinner at Colina De Oro Restaurant (walk) 7:00

Options after breakfast:

  1. Helwig Winery (opens at 10:30am)
  2. Amador Flower Farm (opens at 10AM)
  3. Cooper Vineyards, 21365 Shenandoah School Road;
  4. Pokerville Market – carries wine from almost all wineries in the area, mix & match 10% case discount.

If you plan to return via Highway 50, check out Sobon (opens at 9:30am) (on Shenandoah Valley Road). If you proceed towards Placerville to connect with Highway 50, you can check out Narrow Gate Winery, or in the Placerville area, Jodar and Boeger (good lunch stop — buy deli food and picnic on Boeger grounds) Wineries Open at 11:00 am  
If you want to return via 88 you can check out Iverson, Windwalker, Perry Creek or Robert Mitchell. Return to Highway 88 via Omo Ranch Rd. or take CA E16 (Mt. Aukum Rd,) turn right on Sly Park Rd. (at the T intersection) and follow it to Highway 88 on Mormon Immigrant Trail. (See Map of El Dorado Wine Country for directions)
