We started at the (A) McDonalds on Lemmon Drive (395), then continued through 395 with a rest stop at (B) Starbucks at Susanville, stay on Cal 36 West from Susanville through Chester continuing until you turn… right on Lanes Valley Road to Manton. We visited  (C)  Ringtail Vineyards & Winery (D) Shasta Daisy Vineyard (E) Cedar Crest Vineyards (F)  Indian Peak Vineyards. We ended with a great dinner at C.R. Gibbs 2300 Hilltop Drive, Redding, CA 96002, 530-221.2335, What was for dinner? Click here for a menu. Accommodations were t the Hotel is Best Western Plus.
Three alternatives for getting home:
• The fastest way would be to take I-5 South to Sacramento, then I-80 East back to Reno.
• A fun drive back is to take Cal 44 East until it intersects with Cal 36 at a “T”. Tu rn left and you’re back on Cal 36 East through Susanville and back down US 395 South to Reno.
• Third alternative is to take Cal 44 to Cal 89 and drive South through Lassen National Park (fee required) and stay on 89 until you reach I-80 East back to Reno,
