DESCRIPTION:Sorry\, Event Full\nGALENA STATE PARK\nJoin us for a fun afternoon. Fresh air and lots of space space for social distancing… \nFood\nThe club will provide the main course of hamburgers\, sausage \, hot dogs\, buns\, condiments.\nBWOB and appetizers\, please indicate what you’ll be bringing in the RSVP form. \nWe must adhere to local ordinances and applicable CDC social distancing practices/guidelines.\nAll participants must have an available face mask.\nNOTE: Club Events are for Sierra Chapter Members Only\nRegistrations are closed for this event \nFor more information contact Pat McGoff \nPlease note that there is no Show & Shine this year. \nAbout Galena Park\nThis park is popular year-round. In the summer\, enjoy hiking in the Sierra along Galena\, Jones and White’s Creeks. In the winter\, visit the park for cross-country skiing\, snowshoeing and sledding. \nNestled in a forested area on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada\, Galena Creek Regional Park is seven miles up the Mt. Rose Highway from the intersection with I-580. Galena Creek flows through the park creating separate north and south portions of the park. Campfire programs\, ranger-led hikes\, fishing at Marilyns Pond and exhibits in the Galena Creek Visitor Center add to the diversity of the park.
