SUMMARY:2019 Nevada City Tour
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a day out driving your “Ultimate Driving Machine” over some famous mountain roads – CA 89\, 49\, 20 and old US 40. We’ll meet at McDonalds\, 5148 Mae Anne in Reno at 8 a.m. with a full tank of gas and ready to depart at 8:30 sharp! (A Truckee meet point is also available). \nOur destination is the historic 19th Century California gold mining town of Nevada City. On the way out you’ll see the Sierra Buttes\, drive along the Yuba River and through Downieville. The return takes you past the Sugar Bowl Ski Area\, over the incredible Rainbow Bridge and down past Donner Lake. \n \nLunch is at Lefty’s Grill in Nevada City ($24pp) for the buffet. Nestled in a basin on the Western Slope of the Sierra Nevada\, it is framed and protected by ridgetops and promontories. At 2\,500 feet above sea level\, Nevada City is surrounded by forest. Deer Creek flows through and graces the center of town.
